685 000 Subscribers, 140 000 Facebook fans, 15 Motivational videos with over 129 Millions views (at the time of this writing), but how does this everything started?
Let’s get back to year 2011. I’ve interested in weightlifting in September. After few months I was losing my motivation. I had problems with health and I struggle with tough academic season. Around June 2012 by accident I found video on YouTube called “I am a champion – the greatest speech ever“ and it just blow my mind.
I’ve starting searching for motivational video and back to those days there were just few on web. I was watching them everyday to keep me going. They helped me a lot, one of my favorites was “How Bad Do You Want It?“, “Be Great, Powerful Beyond Measure“ and “RISE“ – still for me, one of the best out there. Those videos teach me to see my struggle in different perspective. They were one of my main reason why I was still keep pushing.
“I want the world to be better because I was here.”
In December 2012 I’ve came up with an idea to give something back.
I’ve decided to create my own motivational video to thanks people who had created this kind of video. Of course I wanted to create the best motivational video of all time.
I had no experience in video editing, poor English but I followed the idea. I was learning the software as a self-taught. I took me almost 3 months to do it. Sometimes I struggle 15 hours a day to create just a few seconds of video. The main mood for video was ‘Why Do We Fall’ by Hans Zimmer.
Through this video I wanted to show that we all fall down in life but it’s in our hands to decide – whether we get back up or give up. And as Stallone said in Rocky Balboa (2006):
“It ain’t about how hard you hit. It’s about how hard you can get hit and keep moving forward. How much you can take and keep moving forward. That’s how winning is done!”
February 21 I’ve uploaded video. I’ve wake up day later and I was shocked that it has 5K views. 100K after one week and almost half of the million in one month.
My plan was to create only one video, but how this became a lifetime passion and series of 14 motivation video? You can find out in my next post.
